where technology meets good taste

Here is the latest....

NEWS at NFI

NEWS: NFI’s General Manager Bob Freemore was awarded The Minnesota Section Institute of Food Technologist’s highest award for 2004, the Chair’s Award at the Section’s September meeting. He joins previous winners, NFI President Alden Drew (1995) and NFI Salesman Larry Pearson (1998) in making Northwestern Foods the leading industry recipient of the award.
While the University of Minnesota has produced 5 winners, Northwestern Foods has won the prize more often than such giants a General Mills, Novartis, Land O’ Lakes or any other of the dozens of member companies.

Northwestern Foods’ continued commitment to food technology is exemplified by its participation in IFT and the sterling work that’s done there. Bob has been active in presenting the annual Midwest Food Processor’s Conference for 5 years and has worked in numerous IFT and U of M and UW educational and alumni programs. This year’s MFPC event in Chicago on November 8-10 will be testament to Bob’s dedication. All are invited to register.

Larry Pearson has served as membership Chair of IFT for years and won the award for his outstanding service, while Alden Drew co-Chaired the annual IFT Suppliers’ Night event for 10 years and was responsible for a number of the unique characteristics that make it one of the nation’s best attended expos.

Northwestern Foods will continue to be at the cutting edge of marrying Food Technology to Good Taste and hopes to produce more award recipients in the years to come.
